Thursday’s Trending e-Learning Topic: Accessibility

For today’s trending topic, we’re talking about accessibility. It’s an important topic because you want all your learners to use your online training course comfortably—even if they have disabilities.

Here’s an example. People who are deaf or hard of hearing should be able to see a text transcript of any audio files in your course, whether that’s videos or podcasts. A text transcript makes your audio information accessible to these learners. You don’t want anyone to miss out on content because you didn’t create your course to be accessible!

Since accessibility is a big deal, we collected a bunch of resources to help you design accessible courses. (Standards for creating accessible content include Section 508 and WCAG—a few resources below explain these guidelines!)
