Corporate University Enterprise, Inc. (CUE), an educational consulting firm that brings a strategic approach to workforce education in both private and public organizations, utilizes Lectora by Trivantis to create online courses and training. CUE's latest project for a large government agency leveraged Lectora to create 24 hours of online training. Linda Hawk, a consultant in the curriculum services division at CUE, was the project manager on this task. “The time frame to deliver not only the courses, but also my proposal was extremely tight,” said Hawk. “The problem, however, was that I had never developed an online training course since my expertise is in instructor-led design. This meant that I needed to find a tool to create and deploy the content both quickly and easily.” Through the investigation of several authoring tools, Hawk discovered that Lectora was the best solution for her needs.
Hawk and her team learned Lectora in one night! More importantly, they were able to develop all of the government agency’s online courses within 35 days, which was even faster than the time frame they were allotted. In addition, the courses seamlessly integrated with Plateau, the government agency’s learning management system.
“Lectora has helped CUE to develop just about anything,” said Hawk. “Not only did it help us to complete our large government project, but we have also used it to complete other assignments here at CUE. Lectora made it possible for us to create elearning content faster and easier than we ever thought possible!”
