Description:

Grays Harbor Community Hospital (GHCH) is a designated Stroke Center in Washington State. If this designation were lost, patients in our rural community who are experiencing a stroke must travel 45 minutes to the nearest stroke-certified facility. To maintain designation, GHCH is challenged to provide 8 hours of annual stroke education to its nurses. There is limited variability in content from year to year. Having the same content delivered in the same manner every year becomes tedious with little or no motivation to learn. Lectora provides GHCH with an opportunity to modify boring annual content to motivate the learning process through competition and interaction. Stroke Jeopardy is the method for delivering Stroke education in 2015. This presentation discusses and demonstrates the process for the development of stroke education from concept to implementation.
