Learn what you need to get started with ReviewLink

Browser Requirements

Internet browser – ReviewLink supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or newer and any version of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Apple Safari

Authoring Systems

A Windows PC or Macintosh computer connected to the Internet (broadband recommended)

Using ReviewLink with Storyline® and Captivate® Courses

Requirements

  • ReviewLink accepts Storyline® 1 or 2 courses and Captivate® 8 or 9 courses.
  • SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 content is now supported by ReviewLink.
  • Web Courses must be published for HTML5.
  • SCORM courses must be published for both HTML5 and mobile devices.
  • Uploads can only be a single .zip file for each course item.

Storyline

In Storyline, you’ll need to publish courses to the Web or LMS with the “Include HTML5 Output” and ‘Use Articulate Mobile Player for iOS or Android’ checkboxes under Publishing for HTML5 and mobile devices selected.

 

Web

  1. On the Publish dialog, click on the Web tab.
  2. Select the “Include HTML5 output” checkbox.
  3. Click the ‘Publish’ button.
  4. On the subsequent Publish Successful dialog, click the Zip icon to create a .zip file of the content

Follow the steps below to upload to ReviewLink.

SCORM

  1. On the Publish dialog, click on the LMS tab.
  2. Select the checkboxes “Include HTML5 output” and ‘Use Articulate Mobile Player for iOS or Android’
  3. Select the desired SCORM standard from the LMS drop down under Output options.
  4. Click the ‘Publish’ button.
  5. On the subsequent Publish Successful dialog, click the Zip icon to create a .zip file of the content.

Captivate

 

Web

You’ll need to turn off Quiz Reporting when publishing for ReviewLink in Captivate. SCORM settings are set in the Preferences dialog.

  1. Click on the File menu, then select Publish Settings.

  2. On the Preferences dialog, select the Quiz category.
    1. Uncheck the option to “Enable reporting for this project.” SCORM Reporting is now disabled.
    2. Press OK to save.

  1. Click on the File menu, then select Publish. The publish dialog may look different depending on the type of project you created – just be sure publishing as HTML5 and to create a Zip file with the eLearning output ‘Disabled'.

  2. Follow the steps below to upload to ReviewLink.

SCORM

You’ll need to turn on Quiz Reporting when publishing as SCORM.

  1. Click on the File menu, then select Publish Settings.

    1. Check the option to “Enable reporting for this project.” SCORM Reporting is now enabled.
    2. Select the desired SCORM standard from the Standard drop down.
    3. Press OK to save.

  3. Click on the File menu, then select Publish. The publish dialog may look different depending on the type of project you created – just be sure publishing as HTML5 and to create a Zip file with the eLearning output ‘Disabled'.

  4. Follow the steps below to upload to ReviewLink.

Upload to ReviewLink

  1. Log into the Publisher ReviewLink account.
  2. On the My Published Content tab, click on the Upload Content button.

  3. Select Browse to browse for and select the Storyline or Captivate Zip file. Click on the Upload button to initiate the upload.

  4. If the content is new to ReviewLink, you can enter email addresses of the Reviewers you wish to invite to review the content. Optionally enter a Due Date by which Reviewers should submit their feedback.

  5. If the course already exists in ReviewLink, you can choose to update the existing content with the new version, or publish as a new content item. If you’re updating content:
    1. Optionally choose to update the status of all New and Not OK comments to Fixed – you can also choose to update the status of comments individually later on.
    2. Choose whether to notify reviewers via email that the content has been updated.

 

  1. Enter email addresses of any additional Reviewers you wish to invite to review the content, and optionally enter a Due Date by which Reviewers should submit their feedback.
