One of the things we love about the Lectora® User Conference is seeing all the creative ways that you—our awesome users—come up with to make online training fun. Here’s a genius example from 2014 Lectora User Conference presenter Andra Serzans of Pfizer Inc. that uses video.The ProblemAndra is a training specialist for Pfizer. She and her team needed to create new training for a Pfizer site in Andover, Massachusetts. Site leaders there were looking to reinforce training on many “good manufacturing practice (GMP)” topics based on the site’s annual performance. However, employee feedback indicated that the previous approach—information-heavy 40 minute long e-Learning courses—was stale and ineffective.
To revitalize the training and engage employees, the Pfizer training team developed several video training courses based on popular television shows, including CSI, The Bachelor and more. Historically, only 80-85% of employees completed the old e-Learning by the due date, so the goal was to increase training completion and engagement.How They Did It
