Shelly Sanchez Terrell is the author of The 30 Goals Challenge for Teachers: Small Steps to Transform Your Teaching, Learning to Go: Lesson Ideas for Teaching with Mobile Devices, Cell Phones and BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology). She supports and instructs thousands of teachers and students worldwide through the online and face-to-face learning events she organizes and moderates, including the award-winning #Edchat movement, #ELTChat, the Reform Symposium Global E-Conference, The 30 Goals Challenge for Educators and the Crafting an E-Textbook Massive Open Online Course.

Recently, she was named Woman of the Year 2014 by the National Association of Professional Women, awarded a Bammy Award for #Edchat and recognized by Edtech Magazine as one of the Top 50 Edtech Bloggers. She has been honored by organizations such as the ELTon Awards, The New York Times and Microsoft’s Heroes for Education as a leader, innovator and visionary in the movement of teacher driven professional development and education technology.

Shelly has an Honors BA in English with a Minor in Communication and a specialization in Electronic Media from UTSA, a Masters in Curriculum Instruction ESL from the University of Phoenix and a CELTA from CELT Athens. Her charity, ETHOS, received the SAMMS Ministries 2001 Volunteer Group of the Year award for the creation of a spoken word and music program for homeless children.
