John Blackmon Appointed Chief Technical Officer Trivantis

John Blackmon, One of the Founders of Trivantis, and the Original Developer of Lectora, to Lead Company’s Technical Strategy and Vision

CINCINNATI – September 10, 2014 – Trivantis Corporation announced today that John Blackmon, one of the founders of Trivantis, and the original developer of Lectora®, has been appointed to Chief Technical Officer of Trivantis.

Blackmon designed and programmed the first version of Lectora, Trivantis’s flagship e-Learning authoring tool. He has been the lead developer on the Lectora and Lectora® Online product teams for more than a decade.“As CTO for Trivantis, John will continue to play an integral part in this company. I can think of no one better to implement the technical strategy and vision that will keep Trivantis at the forefront of the e-Learning and online training software industry. As CTO for Trivantis, John will play a key role as a member of the Corporate Strategic Planning Task Force,” said Charles J. Beech, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trivantis.Prior to joining Trivantis, Blackmon worked for a variety of companies, including Electronic Data Systems, General Motors and IBM. At IBM, Blackmon was awarded a patent for original software design for his work in developing operating systems. At General Motors, John designed a number of automatic identification systems using various technologies for plant floor applications.
