CourseMill provides a few different ways to capture scores for students. There are four (4) different ways to display a student’s score on the student’s My Courses page. Each method described below applies to both curriculums with a list of courses built inside, and courses with a list of content items inside.
For Courses, CourseMill adds up all posted scores for content items in a course, regardless of the status of the content items.
For Curriculums, CourseMill adds up all posted scores for courses in a curriculum, regardless of the status of the courses.
(Managed property NormalizeScoreForStudents is set to Yes)
For courses, CourseMill:
Adds up all posted scores for content items in a course regardless of the status of the content items
Divides that sum by the number of content items that had a score posted.
For curriculums, CourseMill:
Adds up all posted scores for courses in a curriculum, regardless of the status of the courses
Divides that sum by the number of courses in that curriculum that had a score whether or not the course is complete.
(Managed property AverageFinalScoreForStudents is set to Yes)
For courses, CourseMill:
Adds up all posted scores for content items in a course for only those content items that are completed
Divides that sum by the number of content items that were completed and had a score posted.
For curriculums, CourseMill:
Adds up all posted scores for courses in a curriculum for only those courses that are completed
Divides that sum by the number of courses that were completed and had a score posted.
(Managed property HideScoreFromStudents is set to Yes)
For Courses, CourseMill hides all scores both at course and content item level.
For Curriculums, CourseMill hides all scores both at curriculum and course level.
